对于一款休闲类的游戏来说，能够出到第六代足见其游戏本身的不凡素质和玩家对此的乐此不疲。2002年，大宇公司推出的《大富翁6》又一次证明了这一点。2D场景的《大富翁》一直从一代延续到了五代，而这一次创新式地改用了3D式游戏画面，使得“大富翁”一下子变地生动而立体起来。充斥于游戏全过程中的卡片、道具、神明和各类突发事件等都是吸引玩家继续游戏或者一遍又一遍游戏的动力所在。这一代的最大特点还在于支持连线游戏，最多可以支持八人对战。另外游戏还新增组队模式，玩家可以挑选3个角色，3人组队经营，在游戏中和其他队伍分庭抗争，这对于游戏的可玩度和耐玩度都有了很大的提高。对于一款休闲类的游戏来说，其经久不衰也不是没有道理的。
