KONAMI著名的游戏系列《忍者神龟2》PC/PS2/NGC/XBOX四大版本游戏都可支持四人游戏，该作的PC和家用机版难度将比前作更高，需要玩家更多的技巧才能过关。游戏包括故事和“战斗联结”模式。在故事模式中，玩家扮演四位忍者神龟与数之不尽的敌人战斗，最后碰上他们的宿敌史莱德。四位忍者神龟都有其各自的能力，配音同样来自电视动画系列。游戏的“战斗联结”模式可以让玩家与朋友们共同战斗。根据KONAMI所说，这款游戏还有一个隐藏的原版《忍者神龟》街机版游戏。KONAMI数码娱乐的产品经理EricaMason说：“《忍者神龟》的吸引力持续数年，如今依然保持十足的魅力，这要多亏目前重新推出的新作和原作系列的吸引力，我们开发的《忍者神龟2》希望给玩家带来全新的娱乐体验，通过四人合作游戏模式让新玩家和系列的老玩家们都其乐融融。”
